Legendary California alternative metal band Faith No More reunited for an extensive tour in 2009, but no word on new music from the band surfaced. Until now, that is. Friday night, the band debuted two new songs at the British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park. Sporting some holy garb, the band performed the new, untitled songs toward the end of the set, Stereogum reports. Check out crowd-shot footage of the performances above and below.
These two tracks are the first glimpse at new Faith No More material since 1997’s Album of the Year. The live debut of the tracks follows a May tweet from frontman Mike Patton that hinted the band was working on new songs. “The reunion thing was fun, but now it’s time to get a little creative,” he wrote.
